Enhance collaborative experience with SMART Board® 8000 series interactive flat panel. Featuring high-definition, shadow-free LCD display, the 8000 series has intuitive multitouch capabilities and support for common touch gestures – making meetings more visual, interactive and engaging.
 

The SMART SBID8070i-G4-SMP interactive flat panel features SMART's proprietary DViT (Digital Vision Touch) technology on an LCD screen with e-LED backlight which enables you to select, write erase on the interactive surface. By touching the surface, you can do everything on the interactive flat panel that you can do at your computer, and you can use an array of gestures within applications. You can also write or draw over any application in digital ink using one of the supplied pens or your finger, and then erase the digital ink using the supplied eraser or your palm.

The attractive and simple design of the 8000 series invites use, and its multitouch capabilities give users more opportunities for collaboration. Users can use their fingers or a pen to write, draw and interact with content without any special tools or menus – they can simply walk up to the flat panel display and immediately begin working together.

Dual Use Capability

Two users can write or draw at the same time. The interactive flat panel has two presence detection sensors on its frame that can detect people up to 16' (5 m) away. When the sensors detect people in the room, the interactive flat panel turns on. When the sensors no longer detect people in the room, the interactive flat panel turns off.

Put the world at their fingertips

Touch gestures enable users to interact with high-definition content in new and exciting ways, giving them a deeper, more interactive collaborating experience. Users can use simple and intuitive multitouch gestures, such as toss, rotate and zoom, or use the navigational gestures available with SMART Notebook 10.7 collaborative learning software or later. Touch gestures can also be used with multitouch operating systems, such as Microsoft Windows 7 or Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

Experience presence detection

Starting in Fall 2012, the 8000 series will include presence detection – a new feature that automatically turns the flat panel on when motion is detected and off after an extended period of inactivity. Presence detection not only offers a more intuitive and fluid experience for teachers and students, it also conserves power and extends display life.
