The PLUS N-20S copyboard is the next generation of PLUS Copyboard. This new model features a much faster scanning speed over is predecessor, the M-12S. These new N series copyboards are slimmed down and updated to be functional in the modern world. The N-20S has two writing panels, network functionality and possesses a clean design that compliments any office space. This board has a 4.3ft wide writing surface with two writing panels. This means you can fill up both sides of the board before having to print or erase. The board’s surface rotates on rollers, either electronically or by hand. The new surface is also magnetic, so you can stick magnets on it to hold notes or pictures during a meeting.
The N-20S allows for many different printing options including the standard print to an optional on board printer, USB Flash drive, or save directly to a computer via USB cable, without having to install software. You have the option to save as a PDF, PNG, or JPG file. New to the N-20S is a network option. This model can now be connected to your network via an Ethernet cable. Up to 100 images can be stored on board and accessed via web browser. The board can even be password protected for security. You also have the option to save to an FTP server.
Perhaps the most exciting feature is the new app for iOS (iphone / iPad) and Android called Meeting Pocket or MTGpocket. This app lets you perform the scan function on the board right from your mobile device. That scanned image will then be available to preview and save to any mobile device in the room (that has the app installed). The MTGpocket also allows for audio and video recording of the meeting. That file is then saved to the same file as the scanned image so all of the meeting data is easy to find. [Note: Using the MTGpocket App requires the connection of a "wireless access point" to the board as well as a compatible phone. Compatible with Apple iOS 4 and above and Android 2.3 and above.
The N series by Plus is what we actually use these here in our office. The main selling point of a copyboard is that is does not use a LCD projector. Team this with the fact that they are simple to use, and you have very user friendly board that anyone can use. This is why we like them! We have lots of brain storming sessions with our vendors and this is our board of choice. Reliability and durability are another two factors. They use a Mylar surface that stands up the harsh daily routine of using dry erase markers for hours on end. Most boards would “ghost” after a few months and ink would seep into the surface. They are reliable, easy to use and stand up to everyday dry erase use…that’s why we choose them. These boards run flawlessly in our office everyday. The N-20S is the "standard" width model while the N-20W is the "wide" model (20" wider). Both boards offer the same functionality.
Network Function: Connect to a network via an ethernet cable. There are two options for saving and sharing your information over the network.
• Save your copyboard data to the board’s internal memory. Approximately 100 pages can be stored. Using an assigned IP address, your team can access the images on the board from their computers using a web browser. The data on the board is accessible even in “Stand-by” mode. Password protect the board for added security.
• When connected to the network, you can save to an FTP server so that everyone on your team has access to the saved information.
Access Via Your SmartPhone: Just install the MeetingPocket App (MTGpocket) and gain access to many useful and time-saving meeting tools. Both Apple iOS® and Google Android™ mobile operating systems are supported, so you can use your iPhone®, iPad® or Android™ phone. The MTGpocket App lets you perform the “scan” function of the board from your SmartPhone. The resulting image file can then be previewed and saved to your phone’s memory − as well as to the memory of phones belonging to anyone
present in the meeting who has the MTGpocket App installed! Furthermore, the MTGpocket App lets you record audio and video during the meeting. The audio and video files are organized in the same folder as the board image files, so that all of the meeting data is in one convenient location. [Note: Using the MTGpocket App requires the connection of a “wireless access point” to the board as well as a compatible phone. Compatible with Apple iOS 4 and above and Android 2.3 and above.]
