The LG 27EP950B is a 27'' LG UltraFine OLED Pro 4K monitor for professional video editing. Conventional LCD monitors tend to have a low ratio of local dimming blocks to pixels which can lead to the halo effect, where the edges of a light object set against a dark background may appear blurry, or where points of light in a dark scene - such as stars in the night sky - that should be visible, aren’t. Most edge-type LED LCD monitors have fewer than 20 local dimming blocks, while those with direct backlight units (BLU) have fewer than 500 blocks. Upcoming mini LED BLU monitors will possess around 1,000 blocks at best. In contrast, the UltraFine OLED Pro provides individual dimming for every single one of its 8,294,400 pixels, delivering HDR images without any halo effect, and making every detail crystal-clear.
