The Copernicus TEC600C Tech Tub is now improved. It comes with new features like adjustable dividers for different sized devices and a cable management pocket to keep cords neat and organized. Tech Tubs™ are secure, mobile and lightweight, and make device sharing and charging easy. The TEC600C Tech Tub is designed for teachers to organize their classroom's device cables quickly and easily. Simply plug the device cable into your device and your device's power adapter. Once setup, store your excess cable inside of the cable. The Tech Tub's new adjustable storage system allows you to store a range of device sizes. Whether you have one kind or a variety, the Tech Tub™ can accommodate most devices and device cases. The TEC600C Tech Tub measures 17" H x 12" W x 16" D and weighs about 16 pounds. It can hold up to 6 Chromebooks™ tablet and has 6 outlets internal power strip. Fits into current Trolley, 2 Tub Cart and 4 Tub Cart too!
The tub, lid, dividers, and power strip brackets of the Tech Tub™ are made of a special injection-molded ABS polymer that is both stronger and more resistant to heat than our line of Royal® Storage Tubs. The molded Cable Management Pocket is designed for long-lasting durability while the divider rails and spacers have been designed to ensure that your divider setup stays in place.
The Tech Tub™ has ventilation holes throughout that allow warm air from charging to escape and keep devices at the optimal room temperature.
This over-molded, steel lock hump provides increased security for your devices. Simply close the lid and use a padlock to keep it locked.
Secure your Tech Tub™ within the classroom with the Locking Block and Pin system. Simply mount the Locking Block to a table, desk, counter, or any other flat surface found around your room. Then slide the Tech Tub™ over the Locking Block and slide the Locking Pin through. Lock with the supplied padlock on the other side. The Locking Block system is designed to mount to a maximum surface thickness of 50mm or 2". Installation is optional.

Purchased 20 of these for use with chromebooks and iPads in our elementary classrooms in August 2016. Like how these are made and lock and the ability to share between classrooms. However, will not recommend because the surge protection is not reliable. We were using these in our classrooms recently when we had a spring storm and we lost eight (8) iPads due to a surge from the storm. You will expect to use these for several years and just 3rd school year the surge would NOT protect them. When checking with our vendor we were told that they were only covered by warranty for one year. Therefore, don't plan on the tubs protecting you for more than one year.

Works like a charm

While a little cumbersome to put together, they work very well. We were able to easily fit 5 Dell 11" Chromebooks that were in heavy cases into each one. They get a little heavy with that much in them, but the Tech Tubs make them perfectly portable for teachers to be able to share their sets with one another. I definitely recommend these or the Tech Tub 2 for classroom sets.
