I use Hovercam Solo8 only to "scan" still images. Therefore, my review pertains only to this specific function of the product. In my case, all still images (usually taken from newspapers) are cropped. Problem 1: It often to takes more than one snapshot to capture the cropped image (I often have to click on the snapshot button more than one time for the captured image to appear in the thumbnail box on the left). Problem 2: Sometimes I click on the snapshot button once, but the software on its' own snapshots twice, thus capturing the cropped image twice. It seems the problem lies more with the software than with the camera. But I have no absolute certainly of this. Despite these issues Hovercam Solo8 is a very useful toll.
