Located in Lebanon, Ohio, Ghent manufactures a wide variety of products including whiteboards, tackboards, easels, enclosed message centers, and signage. Ghent knows that people need to communicate, collaborate and learn whether they're in school, a board room or a hospital. With Ghent's collection of magnetic, non-magnetic and projectable dry erase surfaces, finding the perfect whiteboard for your space is easy.
Ghent’s Porcelain Magnetic Whiteboards were made with their customers in mind. The 28-gauge porcelain-on-steel surface is mounted to a 3/8” backing for extra strength. The durable porcelain enameled surface keeps the dry erase board from scratching or denting, even when installed in high-traffic schools and offices. The wear resistant surface does not absorb ink, eliminating staining and ghosting that would otherwise result from repeated use. Ghent’s magnetic whiteboard can be used to post bulletins without worrying the announcement will be erased and includes a black marker and eraser.

Ghent's Harmony Glass Whiteboard offers a unique, long-lasting alternative to the traditional whiteboard. The 1/4" tempered glass is made from recycled glass, sand, and steel that's been thermally treated for strength and safety. Ghent's non-porous glassboards do not absorb ink, meaning the dry erase surface will not stain or ghost over time. Choose between square and radius corners, paired with a standoff to complement the shape of the board. The glass edges are polished flat and mounting holes are pre-drilled for easy installation. Offered in 13 standard colors, Ghent's glassboards are the perfect addition to a modern office or conference room.
Ghent is Green
Ghent takes environmental preservation seriously. They don't just talk about it. They live it every day in how they operate and what goes into their custom whiteboard products. Undertaking green initiatives that reduce environmental pollution, operating efficiencies and waste are the pillars of our commitment to a more sustainable future. Here are just a few of our environmental facts:
- The steel used to manufacture their custom whiteboards is 70% recycled
- The hardboard (MDF) that they use for their whiteboards is 80% pre-consumer recycled content
- Ghent's aluminum frames are composed of a minimum of 75% post-industrial scrap
- Ghent's environmentally-friendly coating is VOC-free, so there are no emissions from the coating applied during or after the process. A thin film is applied to the whiteboards in a wet form using an electron beam, which uses very little energy (1 kilowatt/24 square meters) compared to other thermal or convection curing processes
- Ghent recycles 100% of the transfer paper used in the printing/sublimation process of our custom whiteboards
- Ghent supplies alcohol-based markers with much less odor than the traditional acetone marker to accompany our whiteboards, which reduce irritation in sensitive environments such as hospitals
- Ghent's entire manufacturing process is CARB compliant with no formaldehyde emissions
In addition to the facts above, the company has undertaken numerous initiatives to drive down energy usage, recycle materials and drastically reduce solid landfill waste. Examples of such initiatives include company recycling programs, making smart use of daylight and energy saving lights, reusing scrap wood in shipping process, recycling manufacturing waste, new administrative processes and more.
