What are annotations?
Annotations are lines that are drawn on a Capture Page using the interactive Marker Pen, or the Highlighter or Pen from the Capture Annotation Toolbar. *Once drawn, a line becomes an element that can be moved, rotated, resized or regrouped. *Annotation lines are automatically grouped with other lines based on how closely the annotations are drawn together and the elapsed time between the drawing of the lines. (Autogrouping can be turned on/off by selecting Edit > Options > Preferences.)

How do I check if I have the latest version of software?
I have this question too (1)
Selecting Edit > Options > Software Updates Tab from Capture will allow you to determine the current software version you''re working with as well as to check for a new version. The top area of the tab describes your current software status, including the version number and the date the software version was last checked. The lower area of the tab allows you to specify a schedule for periodically checking for a newer version of software. The schedule options that are available are: *Every time the application is started *Every specified number of days *Never Select the Check Now button to check your version and display its status in the top area of the Software Updates Tab. Select the Software Updates Website button to go directly to the downloads web page and download the latest software.

Why is my computer slow when I am running my Recorder?
If your computer is slow while running the Recorder, it could be due to either your computer''s processor or the amount of available RAM. To fix this make sure that any unnecessary background applications are shut and reduce the frame rate of your recording (frame rate can be changed in Recorder Options). The recommended frame rate for your computer is listed below: *100 MB Available Memory - Set frame rate to 4 frames/second *250 MB Available Memory - Set frame rate to 10 frames/second *500 MB Available Memory - Set frame rate to 15 frames/second
Why are there skips or dead spots in the lines I''ve drawn on the whitboard?
Sometimes signals from motion sensors or fluorescent lighting can interfere with the signal traveling from the Marker Pens to the receiver. This can make it appear that the pen is skipping or that there are areas of the whiteboard that the system cannot capture. Additionally if the pens are not working or if you block the transmitters on the pen with your fingers, you may see skips or dead spots. If you are still receiving dead spots, make sure: *Your Marker Pen is working properly. You will hear a low buzzing sound whenever you draw on the whiteboard if the pen is working properly. *You are not holding the Marker Pen too closely to the tip. Doing so can block the signal. *All parts of the receiver are connected to the receiver. If the receiver has somehow been dropped or broken and any part has detached, the way the signal is captured can be affected. *There is nothing obstructing the Marker Pen from the receiver. Move any obstructions out of the way and try to draw again. *There are no lights shining directly into the receiver (including sunlight). If there is, block the light and try to draw again. *There is no automatic lighting or motion sensors. Temporarily disable the lighting sensor and disable the motion sensor and try to draw again.
Why am I unable to Share or Join a meeting over the eBeam meeting server?
If you are attempting to share a meeting, make sure: *An interactive receiver is detected. *You are connected to the Internet. *If your network / Internet connection is behind a firewall or proxy server, you have set up the proxy server.
How do I calibrate the software?
In order to calibrate the software, make sure your hardware is set up properly and is recognized by the software. If your whiteboard has not been calibrated before, a calibration window will automatically open. To calibrate, tap the Marker Pens on the board as directed by the software. To manually start the calibration: *Select Yes when prompted, or *Select Calibrate Capture Area from the Capture Tools Menu.
How do I add audio to my recording?
In order to add audio to you recording, make sure that you have checked "Include Audio Track". If you are using a microphone, the software will search for an attached microphone and will automatically check this checkbox if it finds one.
How come the color of my dry erase marker does not match the color in the software?
If the color of your dry erase marker does not match the color being show in the software: *Make sure the color on the Marker Pen matches the color of the dry erase marker. *Check the color set for the Marker Pen in the Sleeve Settings. It is possible to set a different color in the software for any Marker Pen.
How can I tell if my audio track is recording?
If audio recording is enabled, a speaker will be shown. If it is disabled, the speaker is not shown.
Do I have to calibrate each time I use the software?
If the software isn''t showing what you are writing on the whiteboard, make sure: *Your hardware is properly connected to your computer and detected by the software. Verify that the Hardware Status Icon located on the Capture Toolbar is not grayed out. If the icon is grayed out, your hardware is not properly connected to the software. *Your Marker Pen is working properly. You will hear a low buzzing sound whenever you draw on the whiteboard if the pen is working properly. *You are not holding the Marker Pen too closely to the tip. Doing so can block the signal. *You are on the Active Page. It is possible to be drawing on the Active Page while viewing a different page in the Capture file. The Active Page is marked with a small pen icon.
Can meeting participants see other applications on my dektop while I''m sharing a meeting?
