The Chief CMS492 2' x 2' Plenum Rated Storage Box conceals AV equipment above a 2' X 2' ceiling tile to provide a clean professional look for classrooms and conference rooms. Inside the plenum box or facing the room, up to 2 single gang or 1 dual gang outlet and 4 nested knockouts for 1-1/4", 1", & ½" diameter conduit can be installed. The CMS492 also has a built in ventilation. Detachable power housing can be pre-installed with electricians on site and assembled to the storage box at a later time. Offering lightweight construction, one man installation.
The CMS492 provides an AV tray that supports a variety of AV components. It ships with 1 shelf (2nd shelf CMSUNV2 sold separately and 1 RU rack rail brackets CMS1RU sold separately). It supports an overall weight capacity up to 100 lbs (45 kg): 50 lbs (22 kg) for projector ceiling plate and 25 lbs (11 kg) per shelf location. The CMS492 ships with speed connect installation hardware. It is Plenum rated, UL approved in accordance to 2043 and TAA Compliant. The CMS492 plenum rated storage box is finished in white and includes a 10-year warranty.
