What is the maximum resoulution and distance supported by VE814?
It supports resolutions up to 4Kx2K (3840x2016)at 100M [328 ft].
What are the refresh rate supported on 4kx2k resolutions by ATEN HDbaseT devices?
ATEN HDbaseT devices support 4kx2k resolution up to 30hz.
How does EDID detection work on VE814?
- If there is a monitor connected to the VE814T, the monitor''s EDID will be used. - If there is no monitor connected to the VE814T, the monitor connected to port 1 of VE814R will be used. - If the VE814T fails to read an EDID the VE814 default EDID data
How do RS232 commands work on the VE814 ?
From a source device, the RS-232 signal is transmitted via Pin 3(Tx) to the VE814T receiving unit''s Pin 2(Rx) The VE814R transmits return signals Pin 3(Tx)to the display device Pin 2(Rx).

Yes, the VE814 supports the use of 2 simultaneous IR Channels.
Does the VE814 support cascadeing?
Yes, you can cascaded up to three levels for a maximum distance of 300m [980ft].
Can VE812R be connected to a VE814T and vice-versa?
Yes both connections would work,however the extra features of VE814 [Dual View, IR channel, etc.] cannot be not supported.
Can the VE812 be cascaded with a VE814?
Yes. They use the same communication protocol.
