The Williams Sound IR SY5 SoundPlus Medium-area Infrared (IR T2) System 5 is ideal for assistive listening and language interpretation in commercial spaces such as conference rooms, assisted living facilities, small cinema/theaters, classrooms, and courtrooms.

The system includes (1) IR T2 medium-area infrared transmitter, (3) WIR RX22-4 four-channel infrared receivers, (3) HED 021 folding headphones, (2) NKL 001 Neckloops, (3) BAT 001-2 AA Alkaline batteries, (1) BKT 024 wall/ceiling mount, (1) IDP 008 ADA wall plaque and (1) TFP 057 power supply. The IR SY5 is designed to maximize coverage area up to 18,000 square feet in a single-channel mode when using the RX22-4 receiver.

Medium-area Infrared Transmitter

Building on years of infrared audio delivery expertise, Williams Sound is pleased to introduce the new SoundPlus® IR T2 commercial-grade, medium-area infrared transmitter. The new IR T2 infrared transmitter offers 50 percent greater coverage than the previous IR device (WIR TX75) and new control system readiness - all at a more affordable price.

With a significantly wider coverage pattern and more power, there is no need for the additional expense of secondary units. The IR T2 infrared transmitter ensures participants in your conference room, courtroom, classroom or other mid-sized venue receive direct, clear communication of your message without sacrificing security.

SoundPlus® 4-channel Infrared Receiver

The WIR RX22-4N is a four-channel selectable, infrared receiver compatible with transmitters operating on the 2.3/2.8/3.3/3.8 MHz bandwidth. Dual infrared detectors maximize sensitivity and operating range. A range of up to 28,000 square feet (2,600 square meters) in a single-channel mode when used with a Williams Sound WIR TX925 or WIR TX90 infrared system.

Comfortable, body-pack design features convenient channel selector and easy-to-use on/off volume control. The RX22-4N can be used with mono or stereo headphones, earphones or a neckloop (lanyard included).

Folding Headphones (Mono)

Folding headphone, adult size, 32 Ω, mono. Mild and low gain hearing loss rating. Replacement earpads: HED 023, HED 023-100. 6-7⁄8" x 5-5⁄8" x 7⁄8"; 0.12 lbs.

Neckloop 18" (mono plug)

Use with hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with a T-coil switch. 3.5 mm plug, mono, 8 - 16 Ω. Moderate to severe hearing loss. Integrated safety breakaway device. In the event the neckloop cord becomes entangled with an object in motion, the breakaway device will disconnect the neckloop from the user.
