SMART Board Interactive Whiteboard M600V Series

The M600V series from Smart Technologies is the next generation of its widely successful 600 series interactive whiteboard. Available in the 77 inch M680V and the 87 inch M685V, the M600V Smartboards provide a natural and flexible way work with content while offering ease of use and more functionality than ever.  The M600V boards are a more economical version of the M600 series boards offering all of the same capabilities with a pen ledge instead of the electronic pen tray.

Dual touch durability & capability

The surface of the boards is hard coated, steel backed and optimized for projection. It is durable and compatible with dry erase markers. Unlike its predecessor, the M600V Series use Smart’s DViT technology to make the board multi-touch compatible with support for two-touch points. Simultaneously operate the board without any issues or worries as no electronics are in the surface.

Widescreen interactive whiteboard option (M685 & M685V)

The wide-format 685V (87") version provides you workspace and more room to display interactive content and video. These wide-format models ideal for classrooms that use widescreen laptops and monitors. The wide series models also support a larger work group and whole-class teaching in classes that contain more than 30 students.

Dual touch capabilities

DViT® technology provides support for two simultaneous touches, making it easy for two students to instantly collaborate, working together at the same time.

Freestyle interaction

Two students can instantly start working together without having to switch to a multi-user mode or work in confined areas of the surface. Switch naturally from collaborating to interacting with lesson content.

Pen ledge

The M600V boards no longer ship with the four colored pens with built-in auto detection. Now you get two (2) user-friendly pens and a pen ledge, similar to the marker tray on a dry erase board, which sits in the center of the board and does not run the full width.  This means a lower cost for the board.  Even though it isn't the electronic pen tray Smart fans are used to, you don't loose anything.  You can still use the pens to work the board, you just change colors from the on screen tool bar. You can even "right click" and bring up the on screen keyboard right from the board's work surface.
 

SMART Software

Each board ships with Smart Drivers and a license of Smart Notebook software. This includes the popular Smart Ink legibility feature which improves the look of handwriting for easier reading, and also allows writing to become an object in the software, where it can be manipulated.

Enhance instruction with automatic handwriting recognition and conversion combined with intuitive text editing capabilities. Now you can edit, move, delete, modify or insert text objects without reaching for a keyboard. In addition, SMART Notebook includes tools that make creating lessons a simple and intuitive experience. Get started instantly and save time creating and teaching lessons.

SMART Notebook for iPad app

Create multimedia files, complete assessments on the fly with SMART Response VE, allow students to share work with one another instantly and import files from Dropbox, Google drive, iTunes or SMART Exchange.

SMART Notebook Maestro add-on

Interact with content and conduct collaborative SMART Notebook lessons with an interactive display and a single iPad anywhere in the classroom.

Note: the M680V and M685V do not ship with projectors, however projectors are required for use. If you do not currently have one, please contact us at 866-942-6273. We carry a full line of projectors for literally any application. The M680V features a 4:3 aspect ratio and replaced the SB680 while the M685V has a 16:10 aspect ratio replacing the SB685.
