this worked great for extending the smart board across a classroom to the teacher's desk. Our 50' USB cable was not working, so I replaced it with this and a 50' Ethernet cable. It worked perfectly and has been running smoothly for a couple of months now.

I purchased this item for a teacher's wish list, so cannot comment on the item purchased (CAT 5 to USB Extender.) However, I will say that working with this company was very easy. They were responsive to questions, very pleasant to deal with by telephone, and shipped the order ahead of the predicted date. I would definitely recommend using this company again!
