The Chief CMS492P2 conceals AV equipment above a 2' X 2' ceiling tile to provide a clean professional look for classrooms and conference rooms. A high-performance, non-sacrificial SurgeX® power accessory is integrated to protect AV equipment while also improving audio and video performance.
The CMS492P2 2' x 2' plenum rated storage box features a detachable power housing that can be pre-installed with electricians on site and assembled to the storage box at a later time. It has 4 nested knockouts for 1-1/4", 1", & 1/2" diameter conduit, a built in ventilation, and an AV tray that supports a variety of AV components. The CMS492P2 has a weight capacity of 50 lbs (22 kg) for projector ceiling plate, 25 lbs (11 kg) per shelf location, and an overall weight capacity of 100 lbs (45 kg). It ships with speed connect installation hardware and is plenum rated.
The CMS492P2 2' x 2' plenum rated storage box features a surge and filter module that improves the reliability and functionality of connected equipment by safeguarding equipment from high energy transients, lightning strikes and electronic noise events that can cause gear degradation and downtime. The line filter reduces common and differential mode noise by up to 40 dB. Withstand rating of 240 VAC continuous without damage or loss of protection.
