The VS0801A 8-Port VGA Switch with Auto Switching,connecting eight audio/video source notebooks to a single monitor or projector with full audio will enable you to quickly switch between the devices for any presentation occasions where multiple audio/video playing are simultaneously required, such as meeting room, media centers, class rooms etc..

VS0801A built-in bi-directional RS-232 serial port for highend system control, and advanced RS-232 control. With the ability to use high-end serial control devices via RS-232 commands allows the VS0801A to be controlled by secondary systems with advanced functions such as: Power on Detection,Auto Switching and Pushbutton Lock. The IR Remote control convenient front panel pushbuttons, and new port switching VGA cable allow you to quickly and easily toggle between VGA/ Audio sources, while the front panel LEDs indicate the source device at a glance.

What are the auto switching modes?

The auto switching modes are as follows: - Default: Hold button 1 for 5 sec. - Turns Auto Switch off. - Next: Hold button 2 for 5 sec. -Sets priority to the next powered on port then switched to that port - Auto: Hold button 3 for 5 sec. - Sets priority to port 1. When a device is connected to port 1 the VS0801A will automatically switch to it. - goto: Auto switchs to the next powered on when the in use port is disconnected. Note 1: When a mode is successfully enabled the port LED will flash for 3 seconds. Note 2: When Auto mode is enabled the VS0801A will not switch ports until that port''s signal is disconnected, or Default mode is turned on.

The RS232 software does not start, how do I resolve this problem?

The error code is associated with the serial port connection, please verify the following: - Do you have an unused COM port available on your computer? - Are there any resources accessing the Com port? - Do you have an Antivirus that may be blocking use of the Serial port connection? -> You might have to disable or uninstall the antivirus for testing.
