On the datasheets it states "D De-interlacing increases image clarity for ultimate viewing quality by processing and scanning digital video signals". Does this mean the VC182 supports 3D?

No, the VC182 does not support 3D. The VC182 receives interlaced input signals like 1080i and combines them to output [in this case ] a 1080p signal. Making for a much clearer image.

How can I update firmware on the VC812?

Unfortunately, VC812 firmware cannot be upgraded by the end-user. The Firmware connection is for ATEN in-house use only.
