The UC4854 USB-to-Serial Hub provides mobile phones, PDAs, digital cameras, modems, and ISDN terminal adapters with high-quality serial connections at a data transfer rate of up to 115.2 Kbps. It makes the USB interface transparent to the peripherals, allowing them to easily interface with the USB, eliminating the setup hassle found with traditional serial port connections.

- ATEN provides 4 models in this series: 2/4-Port USB-to-Serial RS-232 Hub; 2/4-Port USB-to-Serial RS-422/485 Hub.
- The ATEN USB-to-Serial Hub does not support devices such as serial mice that require an IRQ number or I/O address.
