Great projector. Every thing from our digital camera projects in real time - no lag or chop. It is extremely easy to set up and light weight for easy portability. The one disappointment is the projector does. It come with a carry/storage case which must be purchased separately.

We love our new Elmo! Because of its size, it is extremely portable - it fits I the projector carry case! Better yet, we have had two guest presenters in the last month and both commented on the picture quality - " best color of any system they have used".

Best ELMO prices on the Internet

I've consistently ordered new ELMOs from Touchboards and have never had an issue with any of my orders from them. The prices for the ELMO units are much lower than other places on the internet. I use the ELMO daily in my classroom so that students can instantly share their writing, an article they clipped, or visuals they created as part of our lesson. My students have benefitted greatly from this product. I would like for the product to project with greater brightness, especially if my students have written in pencil.

This document camera exceeds most of our needs. The image quality is great and the response time is much quicker than the majority of cheaper document cameras. The software is great but isn't necessary and you can integrate it in with the Notebook software which is great for our school. Highly recommended and the touchboard sales team were great to work with.

I am a high school art teacher. This document camera works very well for demonstrations in my classroom. My students can watch from their seats as I project the demonstration on my projector. This allows my visually impaired students a more complete understanding of the content, and allows 30 students to see what I am doing, without having to look over my shoulder, or make the excuse that someone is standing in their way. It is extremely effective. The only downside is the delay in the frames per second. A demonstration needs to be done slowly so that students can see how I get from point A to point B. But I use it all the time.

All Teachers Deserve an Elmo

Our school purchased the our first order of Elmos about 6 years ago and it is the most used piece of equipment in the classroom. The image that it projects in bright and easy to see. Your computer does not have to be attached to project like the USB document cameras. You they come with a 5 year warranty but the only one I ever sent back for repair was one dropped by a student. We set up several new classrooms this year and the teachers complained that they missed their Elmo left behind in their former room so I just order 4 more. You won't be disappointed with this high quality piece of equipment.

The Elmo is a great product that not only saves paper but time! You can use the actual paper that the student receives and project it. You can write on the paper so students can see it as well. Also, you can project books, magazines, and project videos or almost anything from your computer. It works with apple and p.c.

Set up: Setting up the Elmo can require some training as it sometimes is not as easy as "plug-and-play".

Use: For the typical technology user, the ELMO is easy to figure out. The typical techno-phobe requires training.

The ELMO is a better solution for your classroom than the old fashion overhead projector since you can project almost anything for your class to see. if it fits under the camera, they can see it on the screen!

Elmo doc cam--even better than Sesame Street!

At the first glance, your Elmo doc camera just looks like this weird robot arm sitting on top of your desk. At the first use, you think, hey, this is nice, I can complete work sheets in real time with the kids! No more running out of dry erase markers mid-way through the year, I can just pencil-and-paper anything I need, then project it to the whiteboard. As a science teacher, I can do even more. The Elmo doc camera is perfect for small-scale demonstrations that students may have difficulty seeing from their desks-- just perform the demo under the Elmo, and the resulting picture is larger than life. One time I even set up a workstation for the kids under the Elmo, and then could monitor their actions under the document camera while I rotated through other stations around the classroom.
