The CRA-1 is easy to set-up and provides a wide range of convenient functions like stamping, text input and insert image. Attached with a document camera, the CRA-1 can perform tasks like draw on live image of a the document camera, easily controlling the document camera and its functions to create lesson materials containing real objects and digital images.

Teach anywhere - the ELMO CRA-1 wireless tablet allows you to walk around the classroom to take a closer look at what the students are doing and engage them easily.
Easy setup - After activating Image Mate Accent software, all you have to do is insert the wireless adaptor (USB dongle) to the computer USB host.
ELMO Integration - The ELMO Tablet partners effortlessly with an ELMO document camera for dynamic, smooth-flowing lessons.

Wireless interactive whiteboard capability

To help teachers get their points across, whiteboard mode offers a choice of six lesson-reinforcing backgrounds- including musical score, horizontal lines, and graph paper. Teachers can write and draw on those whiteboards from distance while walking around the classroom. Furthermore, wireless control function allows you to use any educational materials stored in your computer such as Power Point slide, PDF and Word files etc. Online educational materials are not exception.

Easy set up and intuitive operation

After activating Image Mate Accent software, all you have to do is to plug the wireless adapter (USB dongle) to the computer USB host. It takes less than one minute to start using the ELMO wireless tablet! It doesn't bother your limited teaching time. Six shortcut keys ensure easy navigation of the ELMO Tablet, even for first-time users.

The ELMO tablet pen makes writing smooth and easy. Teachers can use the pen to annotate online educational materials, annotate images captured by an ELMO document camera, or enhance their own digital teaching materials. For added emphasis, adjusting the amount of pressure applied to the pen when writing changes the thickness of the lines.

I have both the Elmo document camera and tablet - and I don't know what I would do with them. I use the document camera everyday in school and the tablet is great when I need to move around the classroom.
The only limitation with the Elmo tablet is that you can only see the projected image, not what is on the tablet itself (there is not an image on the tablet). Other than that, it is easy to "install" and very easy to use. A nice addition to the document camera.

The tablet is durable (3 years in a NYC classroom no problems), accurate and easy to set up.

Finally A Solution

My teaching station is at the back of the room. It used to be so inconvenient to have to walk back and forth to demonstrate on the board. Now I can do what I need from my teaching station. I actually believe I get more taught every day without the wasted time for moving! Every teacher should have one of these!

The Ideal Product

As a teacher, I am in love with this product. I used to be stuck at the front of the room, unable to monitor the happenings in the back of the room when using the projector. Now I can be mobile and move throughout the room all the while highlighting or circling or making reference to the projected image(s). It is extremely helpful when students have questions about the image, because I can hand them the tablet and they can explain themselves a little better. Plus, they are much more engaged in the lesson if they get to hold the technology! It is a win, win! A must have!
